How we verify jobs

Most job boards leave you guessing whether a listing is even real. Here is exactly how CitizenHire works, what we can promise, and what we honestly cannot.

Every job comes straight from the employer

We do not accept posts from recruiters, agencies, or random submitters. Every listing is pulled directly from an employer's own official hiring system (their Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, or similar careers board). When you click Apply, you land on that same official system. We never take your application, and we never charge you a cent.

We re-check every job, every day

Once a day we re-fetch every employer's careers board and compare it to what we show. If a role is no longer on the employer's board, we mark it closed and take it down automatically, usually within 24 hours. That is why each listing carries a plain "Verified {date}" stamp: it is the last time we confirmed the role against its source.

The result: you should almost never hit a dead link or a role that quietly closed weeks ago. Freshness is the one thing we can genuinely guarantee, so it is the thing we built the whole system around.

What "verified" means here

What we cannot promise (and won't pretend to)

Being honest about the limits is part of earning your trust:

Something looks wrong?

If a listing seems fake, misleading, or stale, tell us and we will review and remove it. Email contact@citizenhire.com. Employers who want a listing removed can use the same address and we act the same day.
