About CitizenHire
CitizenHire is a free remote-jobs search engine. We pull remote jobs straight from employers' official careers systems, re-check them every day, and tell you up front where in the world you can actually apply from, so you never chase a role that turns out to be country-locked.
What we do
Every listing on CitizenHire comes directly from an employer's own hiring system, their Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, or similar careers board, never from recruiters, agencies, or user submissions. We re-fetch those boards every day and take down anything that has closed, usually within 24 hours. When you apply, you go to the employer's own site; we never sit in the middle of your application, and we never charge you a cent. See how we verify jobs for exactly what that means.
Who we are
CitizenHire is an independent publisher, a listings directory and job board, not a recruitment or placement agency. We do not match candidates to employers, we are not a party to any hiring decision or agreement, and we never take a fee from a hire. Our job is narrow and honest: find real remote roles, keep them fresh, and be straight about what we can and cannot promise. Alongside the listings we publish original remote-work guides written by our editorial team.
A note from the founder
I built CitizenHire because finding a remote job you can actually apply to, from wherever you happen to live, is harder than it should be. Too many boards hide a "US-only" catch until the final step, or leave up roles that quietly closed weeks ago. So I built the opposite: every listing pulled straight from the employer's own careers system, re-checked daily, and tagged with where you can really apply from.
I'm Rahul Maurya, an independent builder (LL.B., Government Law College, Mumbai) who designs and runs a small family of directory and community products: LegalAlphabet (legal careers worldwide), Sunday Marathon (a network for runners), munotes (study resources for Mumbai University students), and CitizenHire. Same idea behind all of them: take something scattered and hard to search, and make it clear, fresh, and free to use.

How we make money
CitizenHire is free for job seekers, and always will be. We support the site with advertising, including Google AdSense, shown on our editorial pages. Advertising never influences which jobs we show or how we rank them: the listings are driven entirely by what employers have actually posted and what we have re-verified, nothing else. Our privacy policy explains how ads and cookies work and how to opt out of personalised ads.
Our standards
- Real and fresh. Jobs come from official employer systems and are re-checked daily; dead links come down automatically.
- Honest about limits. We flag roles that have been open an unusually long time, and we are upfront that no job board can read a hiring manager's mind or stop an employer from ghosting you after you apply.
- Free and independent. No fee to apply, no pay-to-rank, and we never sell your data.
