Grievance officer & takedowns
Under the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
Flag a report
Anyone may flag a published report — because it identifies a person, is false, or should not be up for any other reason. Email the grievance officer with the report's reference (visible in the dataset) or its text, and who you are in relation to it.

Timelines we hold ourselves to
- 24 hours — your complaint is acknowledged.
- 15 days — it is resolved, with the outcome communicated to you.
- Content plausibly identifying an individual comes down immediately on receipt, pending review — the registry's first rule outranks any report.
- Valid court orders and lawful notices from appropriate government agencies are honoured within the timelines the IT Rules prescribe (36 hours for removal directions).
Rather report the bribe itself?
This registry records demands; it cannot investigate them. If you want action, these are the channels with legal teeth — and if you were compelled to pay, the Prevention of Corruption Act protects a person who reports it to law enforcement within 7 days:
- CPGRAMS — national grievance portal, any department
- Central Vigilance Commission — central government bodies
- Your state's Anti-Corruption Bureau / Lokayukta — most run hotlines; search "<state> ACB complaint"
- RTI Online — make your file's movement visible
